I laid a beautiful bird to rest in my gardening recycling bin this morning.  

So pretty.  Rest in peace little bird.

Zucchini

My zucchini just keeps growing!  Amazing!

Morning Bug Play

I had fun with this bug this morning!  One of my daycare babies was giggling up a storm watching me!

I want to know what kind of bug it is!  Its a POTATO BUG!  I'm glad it didn't bite me!

Inspiration

This is what my home looks like after our Sunday 

night walk.  It is when I'm most inspired to start working

on the trellis in the backyard!  

Maybe I will get to it next weekend!

Podium

I had Oliver check out the podium tonight.  He looked at some color samples I picked up, he wants it to be red!  I want it to be orange!  We'll have to go together and pick out a color we both like!  I taught him how to use the podium and he loved it!

Planting

More planting tonight!  

Trellis

I'm planning on taking the trellis down on this weekend.  Hopefully I get to it.  I'm not sure if I can save the wisteria, but I'm tired of the anxiety it is giving me when we play outside.  Especially since there will be more rain and wind coming, I'm pretty positive the trellis won't make it.  Maybe some day we will get another one to replace it.  I have one in mind.  

Not fun.

It will be interesting trying to save the Wisteria!

Lantana

At the beginning of Spring I planted some Lantana.  Its in an area that I would like the Lantana to spread and grow up a little.  I haven't watered it very much and it looks kind of sad.  But I think its going to start doing better in the cooler weather.  One of the plants started to flower last week!  It smells really sweet too!

Zucchini

This zucchini plant is the only yummy vegetable left over from my Spring planting!  I don't water it very much, but it keeps growing and producing huge zucchinis!  Yummy!  The blossoms are so pretty too!

Fall Planting

I planted some starters for Fall.  I plan on transferring them to a small area so I can concentrate on that little plot this Fall!  I like when the weather cools down it gives me a lot more energy and motivation to work in our yard!

Sanding

I'm finally working on sanding my podium.  I have some questions that I want to write down and research later:

• Do I need to sand all the previous paint away or just make it feel smooth?
• I think I want to paint it a burnt orangish color.  What kind of paint do I need if its going to stay outside?

I am using a hand sander that I already had.

I don't mind using this as my sander, but is

there something different I should be using?
