Idea

I stopped by an antique shop that I found a couple of weeks ago.
I wanted to get something for Oliver for Christmas.
The thing I wanted for him was already gone, but I found another
one that he will grow into...

But I learned that you have to act fast at the antique shop
if you have an idea and you like something.  So, I grabbed this
podium!  Its going to go somewhere in our future
rock garden.  We'll name it something, I'm not
sure what, but I was thinking we could repaint it
and use it for reading poetry or story telling.

I just really liked it.

Sunflowers

They are pretty amazing!

This one reminds me of a big shower head.

I couldn't resist taking a sunflower petal shower.
Laughing in my garden...maybe losing it a little.
Oh well.  Thats what gardens are for!

Happy Sunny Day!

Painted Tree

I love our painted tree.  I love Morning Glory!

Pear Tree

I've been eating a lot of pears lately.  I wish our tree grew more than 3 a year!  But I will keep watching this one before an animal snatches it up!  Yum!

Grapes

They are still growing, I tasted one and it was a little sour!  Maybe in a of couple days they will be ready to eat, I'll keep checking on them!

Zucchini

I'm going to let this one keep growing to see how big it gets!  Excited!

Corn

Look how pretty!

4th of July Sunflowers

Painted Tree

Oliver and I really need to find time to paint before the vines grow all the way up the tree!  I really like this tree.

Zucchini and Pumpkins

Still growing black beauty zucchinis in the front yard!

There is a good sized pumpkin growing too!

Morning Glory on the Fence

I planted a bunch of starters along the fence tonight.  Hopefully they grow fast and strong like the vines on our painted tree!  I just need to remember to water them often!

Trellis

I've got an idea for my trellis.  I want to keep the Wisteria, but I need a new trellis.  I found one here, for $100.  Then I can either find someone to help me with it (Chad) or pay my gardener.  Not sure what I'm going to do and its going to probably still be a little while, but I really want to save that pretty Wisteria!

Season List

My list for what I want to accomplish in my garden for the coming seasons.  I will come back to this list to add and cross off what I have accomplished!

Fall:

-Plant fall crop.  Lettuce, spinach, etc... in this area!

Winter:

-Same as Fall and in this area.

Spring:

-Not sure what I want to do, but something in this area.

-Plant pretty, whimsical, overgrown looking flowers in all my garden beds.  Lots of colors!  Name each one and post a pretty sign somewhere in the bed.  Get help from my good friend who is a writer to name one and help pick out flowers for one of the garden beds.

-Continue work on spring veggies and fruits.

Summer:

-See if I can grow lots of pumpkins and sunflowers.  But watch my water usage.

Sunflowers Today

My garden is starting to succumb to the summer heat, but my sunflowers are flourishing.  I can't get enough of them!
